Our Medical Director and Consultant Medical Oncologist is Dr Wong Seng Weng. He first practised in the National University of Singapore (NUH) and was appointed clinical tutor in Oncology at NUS. Moving on, he then practised at Raffles Hospital holding the position of Consultant Medical Oncologist and Senior Partner in Raffles Hospital before setting up his own clinic at The Cancer Centre, Paragon.

General Information about Cervical Cancer

Cervical cancer is currently the 6th most common cancer in Singapore women. About 200 new patients are diagnosed yearly. Every life lost to cervical cancer is one too many because cervical cancer can be effectively prevented by vaccination. The barriers to wide-spread vaccination of Singapore females against cervical cancer are many. They range from a lack of awareness, cost of vaccination to inconvenience and inertia. The barriers are real but not insurmountable.

Thus, to empower more females to protect their quality of life, The Cancer Centre (TCC) collaborates with Indonesian Professional Association (IPA) to educate and make vaccination more accessible.
